Bajaj Pulsar 250cc comes with monoshock suspension?

Bike India has reported on Bajaj and the launch of the new flagship model – The Pulsar 250.

The Pulsar brand, which was launched by Bajaj in November 2001, has become synonymous with the sports-oriented affordable Indian bike among the youth. Since the launch 10 years ago, the Pulsar brand has grown to enormous heights introducing several state-of-the-art technologies like DTSi (Digital Twin Spark Ignition), ExhausTec (Exhaust Torque Expansion Chamber), oil-cooling, 4 valve technology, projector headlamps, rear disc brakes etc.

The Pulsar has been sold in 5 different engine capacities – 135cc, 150cc, 180cc, 200cc, 220cc (The 200cc was withdrawn in July 2009) till date.

Bajaj has constantly innovated to make the Pulsar brand the most sought after performance bike in the country. Affordability is an another strong focus from Bajaj with the carburetted Pulsar 220 version being the clear example.

With the recent launch of the Honda CBR250R, “The Fastest Indian” tag of P220 is under some serious trouble. And as we expected, the Bajaj bosses haven’t kept quiet and have developed a strong contender for the baby CBR.

Bajaj Pulsar 250 details

According to Bike India’s report, the P250 has a monoshock suspension at the rear which surely helps in improving the not-so-great handling of the “Definitely Male” bike.

To have the high temperatures encountered under control, Bajaj has equipped the biggest Pulsar till date with a liquid cooling system.

The 4 valve technology has been borrowed from the P135 LS which helps in feeding more petrol-air mixture into the cylinder for every revolution.

And the other high-tech features of the P220 like projector headlamps, rear disc brake, etc can be expected to be a part of the P250 package too.
